Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.
POINT 1: LIVE LIFE TO BE A STEWARD OF ALL YOU'VE BEEN GIVEN.

POINT 2: LIVE LIFE TO BE A SAMPLE OF GOD'S LOVE.
Sometimes all people need is just a sample of God's love to lead them to experience the whole thing.
POINT 3: LIVE LIFE TO BE AN INVITATION TO CHURCH AND JESUS.
People are just one invitation away from coming to church and one invitation away from coming to Jesus.
TALK-IT-OUT
The following questions will help guide your discussions and give your group some opportunities to open up and share.
- When you read John 3:16 what does it make you feel?
- What is your current relationship with wealth and material possessions? Do you think you currently put too much stake in wealth or material possessions?
- We are stewards of all the talents and treasures God has given us. What are you currently stewarding well and what would you like to improve on?
- Are you going to be a part of Summer Love outreach opportunities? Why or why not?
- Who invited you to church? What would you say to them?
WRITE-It-Out
Encourage your group to start writing things down. In a journal or on paper, do the following exercises.
- Write down 5 things that God has blessed you with. Then write down a letter grade on how you feel you are doing with the stewardship (management) of those things.
- Finish this sentence on paper: People will see a sample of God's love through me because ___________________________________.
Live-It-Out
Encourage your group to start doing. Commit to a step and live it out this week.
- Complete what you listed in question 2 of the write-it-out section.
