1. What did you dream about becoming when you were growing up?
TALK-IT-OUT
Go through each main point and scripture from the message and use the corresponding questions in discussion with your group.
POINT #1: OPEN YOUR HEART TO THE HOPE THAT GOD WANTS TO GIVE YOU.
Genesis 22: 17- (God to Abram)
I will greatly bless you and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and the sand which is on the seashore;….and your seed shall possess the gate of their enemies.
Talk-it-Out #1:
Would you honestly say that your heart is open to the hope that sand and stars, vision and dreams, apply to you as well?
POINT #2: KEEP HOPE IN YOUR HEART AND STRIFE OUT OF YOUR LIFE.

Share about a time in your life when you lost hope about something. Have you regained hope since then?
Talk-it-Out #2:
What strife are you needing to keep out of your life right now?
POINT #3: UNRESOLVED CONFLICT CAUSES STRIFE
Abram has an experience in Genesis 13 that all of us can relate to in one way or another.
Genesis 13:6-8
Lot also, who went with Abram, had flocks and herds and tents. Now the land was not able to support them, that they might dwell together, for their possessions were so great that they could not dwell together. And there was strife between the herdsmen of Abram’s livestock and the herdsmen of Lot’s livestock. The Canaanites and the Perizzites then dwelt in the land. So Abram said to Lot, “Please let there be no strife between you and me, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brethren."

How do you resolve conflict? What conflict do you need to resolve in your life right now?
POINT #4: DISTRACTION AWAY FROM YOUR DREAMS CAUSES STRIFE.

How can you prevent unmet expectations from causing you strife?
WRITE-It-Out
Encourage your group to start writing things down. Do the following exercises:
- Write out 5 reasons that you should have hope for the future.
- Write out 5 reasons you should not have strife in your heart.
Live-It-Out
Encourage your group to start doing. Commit to a step and live it out this week.
