HOSTS

Make sure to start off with prayer. Open up group with this icebreaker:

Have you ever been on a cruise ship? What has been your favorite vacation?

TALK-IT-OUT

Open YouVersion and read together: Luke 15:1–2 and Luke 15:3–7.

Talk-it-Out: What stands out to you in these scriptures? How would you describe the character of God just from this?

Pastor Earl gave a brilliant example of how everyone thought the Titanic wasn't sinkable until it was.

Talk-it-Out: How do you personally prepare for moments that could possibly derail you or sink the purposes God has placed in your life?

Main Point: The church is not a cruise ship. It's a rescue boat.

Talk-it-Out: Knowing that failure is possible for anyone, in what ways do you show grace in your day-to-day life? Is this difficult for you? Why?

Main Point: The main principles from a boat are: you can't straddle two boats at the same time, you have to be all in one, you have to have God's heart, there's leadership and followship, but there shouldn't be any boat competition.

Talk-it-Out: Which one of the principles do you struggle with the most? Which one is the easiest? Why?

Talk-it-Out: Describe what changes you are going to make to begin to rescue people onto the boat at a greater level than before.
