TALK-IT-OUT
Open YouVersion and take turns reading: Joshua 1:9. Joshua 1:5, 2 Peter 1:3, Philippians 4:19

Main points from this week's message: Courage: Being the Best You Can Be

Main Point: Three things God told Joshua in the first five verses: 1. Get ready to cross over, 2. I’m going to expand your territory, and 3. You will win every battle because I am with you.

Talk-it-Out: What boundary do you need to overcome or cross over that will require courage?

Main Point: God is calling everyone here towards something this year that’s going to require greater courage than you’ve had in the past.

Talk-it-Out: Do you feel inadequate or unqualified to step into new opportunities, go for that promotion, accomplish big goals, begin tithing, reading the Bible, etc? How can you have the courage you need to be the best you can be?

Main Point: You don’t have to feel courageous to be courageous.

Talk-it-Out: Is there something you have been putting off that you just don’t want to do, but you know you need to? What can you do to get the courage to do it? (could be working out, eating right, fasting, etc.)

Main Point: “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips . . . then you will be prosperous and successful.” Joshua 1:8 (NIV) Talk about it - Meditate on it - Apply it.

Talk-it-Out: What simple action steps can you take to keep the Word of God in your thoughts and on your lips to help you have courage daily? (Pastor talked about writing notes on your mirror, etc.)

Main Point: When you think courageous, you live courageous.

Talk-it-Out: God is making all things new in 2020. It is a new year to have the courage to do things differently than you’ve ever done. What new thing would you like to see God do in your life this year?
