HOSTS

Make sure to start off with prayer. Open up group with this icebreaker:

How do you stay up-to-date with current events? (Watch the news, social media, etc.)

TALK-IT-OUT
Open YouVersion and take turns reading: Psalm 91, 1 Corinthians 15:33, Proverbs 12:26, Proverbs 13:20, Romans 12:6

Main points from this week's message: You’re not meant to do life alone, but you’re also not meant to do life with everyone.

Main Point: Not everyone who is good to you is good for you.

Talk-it-Out: Most people have no idea how powerful the effect of unhealthy attitudes can spread. Talk about how you’ve seen this demonstrated with friendships or with coworkers. How did this impact your environment?

Main Point: It’s better to be alone than with the wrong people.

Talk-it-Out: How can you better discern the difference between who is good for you and who is not?

Main Point: Subtractors take strength from you.

Talk-it-Out: If you have someone in your life that sucks the energy from you, how can you be a better steward of your energy so they don’t take it from you?

Main Point: Subtractors are not necessarily bad people, they just feel entitled to your time and energy.

Talk-it-Out: Most people don’t realize they are a subtractor. How do you think you can tell if you’re a subtractor or if someone in your world is?

Main Point: Adders encourage you and make you better.

Talk-it-Out: Because adders bring energy and life, how can you identify who they are and find more to add to your circle?

WRITE-IT-OUT

Write about subtractors and adders then identify if you are one or the other.

LIVE-IT-OUT

This week, add some energy to someone else by sending them an encouraging text or a note card.
